The utilization of sacrificial layers to strengthen civilian structures against terrorist attacks is great interest engineering experts in structural retrofitting. cladding are designed be attached the façade absorb impact explosion through facing plate and core layer progressive plastic deformation. Therefore, blast load striking non-sacrificial structure could attenuated. idea this study construct a from multicellular hybrid tubes protect prominent bearing members civil hazard. multi-cell utilized were out staking composite (CFRP) around thin-walled tubes; single, double, quadruple (AL) formed single cell tube (H-SCT), double (H-DCT), (H-QCT). An unprotected reinforced concrete (RC) panel under close-range free air detonation was selected highlight effectiveness fortifying elements with layers. To investigate proposed problem, Eulerian–Lagrangian coupled analyses conducted using explicit finite element program (Autodyn/ANSYS). numerical models’ accuracy validated available testing data reported literature. Numerical simulations showed decent agreement field test. different topologies applied RC slabs as an effective technique for loading mitigation.
